LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Robin Reynolds, MA, LPC, LPC-S, BC-TMH

Hello and welcome! I’m Robin Reynolds, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor with more than 10 years of experience supporting individuals, families, and fellow professionals across South Carolina. It is truly an honor to serve as President of the South Carolina Clinical Mental Health Counseling Association, and I am grateful to be part of such a compassionate and dedicated community of counselors. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of providing clinical services, supervision, and professional development to counselors at many stages of their journey. I love creating learning spaces that are meaningful, encouraging, and grounded in best-practice care. In recent years, I’ve presented on topics such as:

  • Substance Use Disorders: Neurobiology, Diagnosis & Treatment (2022)
  • Bipolar Disorders: Diagnosis and Treatment (2023)
  • Supervision: Making It Count! Increasing Competence and Self-Awareness in Clinical Supervision (2024)
  • Helping Clients Recover from Narcissistic Abuse, Gaslighting, and Codependency (2025)

Service is also a big part of my life. I volunteer with the American Red Cross as the Disaster Mental Health Regional Program Lead and Disaster Mental Health Coordinator for South Carolina, and I serve as the Service to the Armed Forces Resiliency Program Leadand Instructor for the Palmetto SC Region. Supporting our military community, disaster survivors, and responders is work I hold close to my heart.

Along the way, I have earned additional certifications in Anger Management, Clinical Trauma Treatment, Narcissistic Abuse Treatment, Compassion Fatigue, and Veteran & Military Behavioral Health. These specialties allow me to support clients and clinicians with compassion, insight, and intentional care.

As President of SCCMHCA, my hope is that every counselor in our state feels supported, valued, and connected. This is a profession of heart, and we do our best work when we lift one another up. I look forward to growing together, learning together, and continuing to strengthen the counseling community across South Carolina.

Warmly,
Robin
