 Counselor of the Year

SCCMHCA awards the Counselor of the Year to acknowledge a counselor's positive influence on the field of mental health counseling. The candidate must demonstrate service to the profession through direct service to clients, upholding high ethical standards in the practice of counseling and implementing innovative therapeutic approaches.

Student Highlight

Student Highlight spotlights a graduate student pursing a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or other equivalent course of study. Students are given the opportunity to share what inspired them to pursue a career in mental health counseling, something they've learned in their studies that surprised them the most, how they practice self-care and maintain their own mental well-being while studying, and advice they would offer other students pursuing the mental health field.  To see our recent student spotlights, click here.
